Tracking Objects; topic containing about 179 words

There are two ways to start tracking an object.

The first way is to enter the nearby list by pressing alt+n or tab from the game keyboard area. Additionally, you can use one of the shortcuts for a specific category in the nearby list. This however requires the setting "Focus the nearby list control if a tracklist shortcut key is pressed from within the game keyboard area." to be enabled. See the topic on the nearby list for more details.

You can then use the up and down arrows to see items in that category. Press enter to start tracking the selected item.

The other method does not involve entering the nearby list. If the setting mentioned above is not enabled, pressing one of the nearby list shortcut keys will move focus to that category, but you will still be in the game keyboard area. You can then use the dash and equals keys to cycle through different items and press the backspace key to start tracking. Additionally, you can use shift with dash or equals to switch categories.
