Here are several tips to keep you safe and help keep your stats under control.

*If you are running low on water, find a water source before you completely run out.

*Take care of your thirst often. Your thirst effects your walking speed, and you will have more time to slow down your thirst whenever the weather becomes extremely hot.

*Rest to recover your energy often. The higher your energy, the faster you walk and do other activities. It is better to have several short naps than a few long ones.

*If you are unable to use a hammock in an area or structure, use sleeping pills. They do have their uses.

You are also unable to use a hammock if your energy is above 1000, so be mindful of this when near tricky footing or lots of cliffs.

Try not to break bones in these areas! It will require a lot of sleeping pills to heal.

*Minimize your time in dangerous areas when they are not your destination. Walk along side them in neighboring areas instead of going through them.

A good example of this is traveling along the west side of the desert in the large dirt nothingness until you need to cross into the campground or rocky spring.

It is also wise to follow this advice when teleporting to a dangerous area. There is a chance You could be placed in chaos when you land, so it is safer to teleport to a neighboring area and travel to the destination. It takes more time, but better to be safe than sorry.

*Fully rest before going through dangerous areas. You don't want to be walking slow when you need to make a large jump or try to run from an animal.

*Seek shelter! If you are in a dangerous area and you need to recouperate or need a safe place away from the chaos, scramble to find a shelter. Players put shelters all across the world including in dangerous areas for this exact reason.

If there are no shelters around, you can hide from some animals by climbing up or down a tall structure.

*Pay attention to areas that decrease your health or do not heal you over time. There aren't many, but you shouldn't assume nature is nice everywhere you go.

*The current area and your clothing have a huge impact on your stats. Be mindful of what you are wearing in certain areas and if stats are increasing at a fast rate.

*Try to avoid having low energy in dangerous areas. The longer you are asleep, the worse stats can get out of control or an animal can peacefully snack on you.

*Wear padded and warm clothing in dangerous areas to take less fall damage and have a lower chance of breaking bones. But keep an eye on your temperature and thirst.

*Disable auto walking in areas with tricky footing and places where you get disorientated easily. Also consider disabling scuff sounds.

*If you have pk enabled and you are waiting to turn it off, consider clearing your trust list then go into the deep ocean. Make sure your location only says deep ocean, you want to be as hidden as possible.
